^Former Labour councillor, Ronald Grahame (Burmantofts and Richmond Hill), was charged with historic child sex offences in December 2020 and was "suspended from the Labour party pending the outcome of the case."[5][6]
^Labour councillor Paul Drinkwater (Killingbeck and Seacroft) resigned from the party on 10 May 2021. The Yorkshire Evening Post reported he cited "institutionalised bullying" in the ruling Labour council group and argued for a change to the council's decision-making structures. He did not seek re-election in 2022.[7][8]
^Conservative councillor, Jonathon Taylor (Horsforth), resigned from office on 15 March 2022 to take up a politically restricted job and Labour councillor, Jacob Goddard (Roundhay), also resigned on 23 March 2022. Two replacement councillors were elected on 5 May 2022.[9][10]
