Amy Sinclair (born 1975) is an American politician, who is currently the Iowa State Senator from the 12th District. A Republican, she has served in the Iowa Senate since 2013.[1] She currently resides in Allerton, Iowa.[1]
In September 2024, following the resignation of Adam Gregg as lieutenant governor of Iowa, Sinclair succeeded to the position of acting lieutenant governor. She will remain in her acting position until Governor Kim Reynolds appoints a replacement to fill the vacancy, which she has expressed intent to do "later this fall."[3]
As of June 2016, Sinclair currently serves on the following committees: Commerce, Education, and Judiciary, Government Oversight, and Rules and Administration.[1] She also serves on the Legislative Council and the Violence in Iowa Study Committee.[1]
Sinclair is married. She has a husband, Boyd, and they have three sons.
