Church of Santa Croce, Busto Arsizio
The Church of Santa Croce is a church located in the neighbourhood of Sant’Edoardo. The church became its own parish in 1991.[1] History Prior to the current church, the cascina Brughetto had one church; the church of Saint Eurosia. This church was dedicated after a church located near the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist.[2]  The former church of Santa Croce was demolished in 1972, after being deconsecrated 24 years earlier in 1948. The church of Saint Eurosia was demolished in 1954.[3] The church was constructed and designed by the Beato Angelico school between 1948 and 1982, with the porticos being added in 1982.[4] The church contains various items from the previous churches, such as the altar of the church of Saint Eurosia. The church has no bell tower, so the bells are placed inside an archway that rises above the chancel.[5] This church was founded by Don Ambrogio Gianotti, the first parish priest of the Church of St. Edward, and by Don Angelo Volontè. It became a parish in 1991, under the orders of Don Eugenio Bertolotti, the second parish priest of St. Edward.[6] References
