Hồ Thanh Minh (born 7 February 2000) is a Vietnamese professional footballer who plays as a forward for V.League 2 club PVF-CAND, on loan from V.League 1 club Hà Nội.

Club career

Huế FC

Thanh Minh did athletics before becoming a footballer.^[2]

Two years after his debut in the U-17 youth team of Huế FC, Thanh Minh was summoned to the first team by coach Nguyễn Đức Dũng, but he spent most of his first season as a backup for his teammate of the same age, Trần Danh Trung. After Trung left Huế, the 20-year-old Thanh Minh became the main striker of the team. In the 2023–24 V.League 2 season, he scored 10 goals throughout the season, thus finished second in the league's top scorer list. Therefore, he was named in the league's team of the season.^[3]

Hanoi FC

On 29 July 2024, Thanh Minh signed for V.League 1 side Hà Nội.^[4]

On 20 January 2025, Minh was loaned out to PVF-CAND until the end of the 2024-25 season.^{[citation needed]}

International career

Thanh Minh participated at the 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualification phase, scoring the winning goal against Myanmar. He was part of the Vietnam team that won the gold medal in the 2021 SEA Games.^[5]^[6]

Personal life

Thanh Minh comes from a farming family belonging to the Tà Ôi ethnic group in A Lưới, Thừa Thiên Huế.^[7]
