Monte Castelo, São Paulo
Monte Castelo is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population is 4,166 (2020 est.) in an area of 234 km².[2] The elevation is 375 m. The municipality contains 18.7% of the 9,044 hectares (22,350 acres) Aguapeí State Park, created in 1998.[3] MediaIn telecommunications, the city was served by Companhia de Telecomunicações do Estado de São Paulo until 1973, when it began to be served by Telecomunicações de São Paulo.[4] In July 1998, this company was acquired by Telefónica, which adopted the Vivo brand in 2012.[5] The company is currently an operator of cell phones, fixed lines, internet (fiber optics/4G) and television (satellite and cable).[5] ReligionChristianity is present in the city as follows: Catholic ChurchThe Catholic church in the municipality is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Marília.[6] Protestant ChurchThe most diverse evangelical beliefs are present in the city, mainly Pentecostal, including the Assemblies of God in Brazil (the largest evangelical church in the country),[7][8] Christian Congregation in Brazil,[9] among others.
