Nicolás Fernández (footballer, born 1999)
Nicolás Esteban Fernández Muñoz (born 3 August 1999) is a Chilean footballer who plays for Universidad de Chile and the Chile national team.[2] Club careerAs a youth player, Fernández was with Universidad Católica before joining Audax Italiano aged 15,[3] making his professional debut in 2017.[4] In January 2025, Fernández signed with Universidad de Chile.[5] International careerIn 2016, Fernández represented Chile at under-17 level in the friendly tournament Copa UC [es].[3] At under-20 level, Fernández represented Chile in the 2018 South American Games, winning the gold medal.[6] At senior level, he received his first call up under Ricardo Gareca for the friendly matches against Albania and France in March 2024.[4] He made his debut against Albania on 22 March 2024.[7] Career statisticsInternational
