Pape Habib Guèye
Pape Habib Guèye (born 20 September 1999) is a Senegalese professional footballer who plays as a forward for Scottish Premiership club Aberdeen. CareerClub careerPlaying his youth career with Académie Darou Salam, he was a squad member for the 2017 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations,[1] where Senegal finished as runners-up. He joined Norwegian second-tier side Aalesund ahead of the 2018 season.[2] He scored 22 goals for Aalesund in two seasons,[3] but also had disciplinary issues.[4] In January 2020, during the winter transfer window, he was bought by K.V. Kortrijk of the top-tier Belgian First Division A. Aberdeen FCOn 29 August 2023, Guèye better known affectionately to the Dons fans as Mpape signed for Scottish Premiership club Aberdeen for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract.[5] On February 19, 2024, Guèye joined Norwegian side Kristiansund BK on loan, with Aberdeen Manager Neil Warnock stating "Pape needs to get out and play some regular football".[6] On 19 July 2024 It was announced that Guèye had returned to Aberdeen.[7] Guèye scored five goals in the first five matches of the 2024–25 Scottish Premiership season.[8] On 2 October, it was reported that Guèye was ruled out until January 2025 with a quad muscle tear he picked up in training.[9] Career statistics
