Stanis Idumbo Muzambo
Stanis Idumbo Muzambo (born 29 June 2005) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Sevilla Atlético.[1] Born in France, he is a youth international for Belgium. Early lifeStanis Idumbo Muzambo was born in Melun, France,[2][3] but played his youth football in Belgium, between Club Brugge and KAA Gent, spending 4 years with the latter before moving to the Netherlands aged 16.[2][4][5] He is of DR Congolese descent.[6] Club careerIdumbo Muzambo joined the Ajax Youth Academy on the summer 2021, from Gent.[2][3][7][8] After a season with Ajax under-17s where he already played its first games with the higher age group, he really started to impress with his goals and assists record in 2022–23, in the under-18 Eredivisie and the Youth League.[5][9] Idumbo Muzambo made his professional debut for Jong Ajax on 6 January 2023 in an Eerste Divisie game against FC Eindhoven.[10] In January 2024, he joined Sevilla Atlético on a deal until June 2028.[11] International careerStanis Idumbo Muzambo is a youth international with Belgium, having played the 2022 European Championship with Belgium under-17s,[7] scoring two goals during the tournament.[12] By 2022, he was a captain with Belgium under-18s.[5] Style of playMainly playing as an attacking midfielder, and sometimes as a winger, he is described as a "creative and spectacular" player.[13] Career statistics
