Tabú Ultralounge, a premier nightlife venue, was inaugurated on February 28, 2003 at the MGM Grand Las Vegas.[1] With a capacity of 400 guests and an opening time of 10:00 PM, it quickly became a notable destination.[2] The grand opening was marked by a red-carpet event, featuring high-profile celebrity appearances from Paris Hilton, Usher and Vince Neil.[3] Although one of the smaller ultra-lounges in Las Vegas, Tabú distinguished itself with the unique feature of two fully stocked bars, offering guests an exceptional experience.

Musical Talent

Tabú Ultralounge was known for its dynamic musical atmosphere, with acclaimed DJs Jose 2 Hype and Eric Forbes holding residencies. Their eclectic blend of hip-hop, house, old school, and rock music provided an unforgettable experience for patrons.[4]

Awards and Recognition

Tabú Ultralounge earned numerous accolades, reflecting its popularity and outstanding service:

  • 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2009 Club World Awards for Best Lounge
  • 2009 Club World Award for Best Bottle Service[5]

Closing and Transformation

Tabú Ultralounge closed its doors on April 6, 2013, as part of a comprehensive resort-wide renovation that also included the transformation of the Hakkasan restaurant and nightclub. After renovations it was rumored to become the Tabú Gaming Lounge, but those plans were scrapped.[6]
