And I have no inclination to reunite with the women who've been harassing me for 10 months now."[6] Following this, Variety announced that she would not return to the series.[7]
Synopsis
Much of the season's drama revolves around the cast turning against Lisa Vanderpump for her alleged machinations against them. It begins when Dorit Kemsley adopts a dog named Lucy Lucy Apple Juice from Lisa Vanderpump's foundation, Vanderpump Dogs. Dorit rehomes Lucy after the dog attacks her family, but the new owner was also unable to properly care for Lucy and ended up taking the dog to a shelter that euthanizes unwanted animals. The incident is brought up by two Vanderpump Dogs employees when Kyle Richards and Teddi Mellencamp visit the foundation. Lisa Vanderpump attempts to shut down the conversation on camera, but the employees still express their frustration that Dorit knew rehoming the animal was a contract violation and that Lucy was not the first dog she was unable to manage.[8]
When Lucy is brought up at dinner during a group vacation in the Bahamas, Lisa Rinna immediately calls the situation a set-up and chastises Lisa Vanderpump for allowing it to happen. Matters are further complicated when Teddi confesses that she did, in fact, conspire with the Vanderpump Dogs employees to create a scene for the show so they could embarrass Dorit. Teddi insists that the employees acted as intermediaries on Lisa Vanderpump's behalf, but Lisa Vanderpump insists that she had no part of their scheme.
When the story is leaked to Radar Online, the ladies unanimously believe that Lisa Vanderpump was behind it. Things reach a breaking point when Kyle tells Lisa Vanderpump that the group, herself included, believe Lisa Vanderpump orchestrated everything to punish the Kemsleys for the dog fiasco without directly jeopardizing her friendship with them. Fed up with being called a liar and a master manipulator, Lisa Vanderpump subsequently kicks Kyle out of her house, ends their friendship over the issue, and subsequently quits the show.[9]
Denise Richards marries her fiancée Aaron Phyphers in a wedding planned in less than a week. Kyle Richards struggles with sending her daughter Sophia to college in Washington, D.C. as she begins to realize all her children are slowly leaving the home. Kyle also deals with the fallout of losing her 12-year friendship with Vanderpump. Rinna hosts a dinner in honor of her mother Lois. The dinner quickly turns political when Camille comes talks about her support of Brett Kavanaugh following rape allegations during his Supreme Court of the United States confirmation bid. Kim Richards makes a small appearance at this dinner, being in the same restaurant at the same time.
Vanderpump celebrates the passing of House Bill 401. [10] The bill affirms United States urges countries, especially in Asia where the dog meat market is still established, to stop the slaughter and trade of dog and cat meat. Vanderpump hosts a birthday party and doesn't invite any of the ladies except Denise, who was under the impression they were meeting to speak quickly.
