Can you please explain to my why my links were removed? using IP 203.213.7.130 I have read the conditions and only posted links to relevant materials you have removed links to topics that have similar links eg. You have on your user page that you like anything to do with music. I have a question for you then mush (hopefully, you'll know the answer, it's driving me mad!!) ... Dear Mushroom,

On Dec. 13 2005 I did a small change on the article dedicated to Benito Mussolini. Indeed the article mentionned that BM was freed from Gran Sasso by a "spectacular raid commanded by Kurt Student".

I added that, this raid was "commanded by Kurt Student, and led by die-hard commando Otto Skorzeny".

I take offense that you say the Criticism section of Mac OS X is "probably incorrect". It is accurate. All news papers real or electronic can be used anywhere if you state from what day and what paper it is so removeing them by saying it is copywrite protected is wrong

Please read Wikipedia's official fair use policy. It says:

In general, extensive quotation of copyrighted news materials (such as newspapers and wire services), movie scripts, or any other copyrighted text is not fair use and is prohibited by Wikipedia policy.

This is because:

• The fair use law says that you have to consider "the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole".
• All the text that you put on Wikipedia becomes licensed under the GFDL license, so it becomes free for anyone to use. You can't take a copyrighted article and make it free, that's illegal.

Wiki is just palying safe, in the real world you can use anything from news papers as long as you state which paper and what date BUT since wiki plays safe so will I, I will just use the nummbers from the article this must be within the limits of fair use, even when wiki plays it safe. I'm sorry, but legally it doesn't matter if it's so correct, the problem is that we can't use the exact same words. But maybe you could write a message on the articles' talk pages and see what other editors think about it: someone else could be able to rewrite and add that information. Ok, I'll try to explain it:

• In the Coupled cluster article there was a link to the aka disambiguation page.
• That page is not about "also known as", it's about all the possible meanings of the three-letter word "aka".
• I was fixing disambiguation links as part of the Disambiguation pages with links WikiProject.
• I changed the link and now it goes to the List of acronyms and initialisms, where there is an explanation of "aka = also known as".
• A possible alternative would be to remove the link altogether, maybe it's not really needed.

Hi Sean, here on Wikipedia we have rules that say that you can create a new article about a band only if the band is notable (see WP:MUSIC). The band didn't seem sufficiently notable, so another user proposed the article for speedy deletion and I deleted it. But since you are a registered user, you have a user page: you can write about yourself and your band there and no one will delete it. Mushroom 13:56, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Hey, Mushroom. I noticed you made a couple of edits to the iTunes article, so I thought you might be able to address an issue I brought up on that talk page. As you can read there, I recently revamped all of the references on the iTunes article, including adding references to some information that wasn't backed up. One of the added references I left hidden, as it would violate NPOV for me to add it (my brother wrote the referenced article and it was published on a site on which I participate). I left the note on the talk page hoping that someone would evaluate the hidden reference and unhide it if they found it useful. • It appears that you deleted Category:Antisemitism (People) without any notice. I need to recover the text that was on that page. A considerable amount of effort went into that text. Where is it?
• Your edit summary stated it was an empty pov category. First of all, it was empty because a couple editors pushing their own POV deleted all the article links to the category. I documented that fact on the talk page. Did you read the talk page?
• Your assertion that it was a POV category is false. The category as the text stated was to provide an index to key figures in the history of antisemitism. That one thinks that is an improper category is suggestive of a non-encyclopedic approach to editing.
• Please restore the category along with its text immediately.

• Your deletion of the category was done in violation of wikipedia official policy. You should correct your own violation yourself. The policy states:

1. Empty categories (no articles or subcategories for at least four days) whose only content has consisted of links to parent categories.

• The category had only been empty a few hours as documented on its talk page. The criteria specifies that it be empty "for at least four days."
• Please immediately correct your violation of official wikipedia policy and restore the category now.
• Your unexplained and unfounded claim of POV does not support the violation of wikipedia official policy by an admin. If you want to push your own POV, you should do so as an editor not as an admin.
