I am becoming confused. I understand that WP Film isn't supposed to cover biographies, but the category of Cinema of Israel includes biographies. I put in a bot request for help with categorization, but I don't know what to instruct them now.

Category:Cinema of Israel can be tagged with {{WP Film}} since its primary subject is film, even though there might be biographical overlap. What I was referring to are that pages like Category:Israeli film directors & Aharon Ipalé should not be tagged with {{WP Film}}, since they are covered by {{WikiProject Biography|filmbio-work-group=yes}}.   ~ Tom.Reding (talk ⋅dgaf)  21:13, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

On a separate topic, can you merge two different categories which overlap? I don't see why both of these categories should exist at the same time.

Hello, I saw in related changes that this task force added to some film articles that don't seem to fit, like The Fountain and The Batman (film), just to name a couple? It is pulling in Israeli directors and producers.

My mistake, it was a different change in the sea of task force changes. Other instances are Brazil (1985 film), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Spider-Man 2, Fantastic Four (2005 film). Honestly, films have multiple producers, and a producer being of one applicable nationality seems like a very low bar for inclusion in this scope. I think there can be greater precision, like Israeli production companies or distributors. A producer's nationality can happen to be purely incidental to the given film.
