Černovický potok
The Černovický potok is a stream in the Czech Republic, a right tributary of the Lužnice River. It flows through the South Bohemian and Vysočina regions. It is 40.3 km (25.0 mi) long. EtymologyThe name means 'Černovice stream', referring to a town on the upper course of the stream. CharacteristicThe Černovický potok originates in the territory of Lidmaň in the Křemešník Highlands at an elevation of 651 m (2,136 ft) and flows to Soběslav, where it enters the Lužnice River at an elevation of 400 m (1,300 ft). It is 40.3 km (25.0 mi) long. Its drainage basin has an area of 125.4 km2 (48.4 sq mi).[1] The longest tributaries of the Černovický potok are:[2]
CourseThe stream flows through the municipal territories of Lidmaň, Černovice, Vlčeves, Hojovice, Mlýny, Psárov, Choustník, Budislav, Tučapy, Zvěrotice, Sedlečko u Soběslavě, Klenovice and Soběslav. Bodies of waterThere are 162 bodies of water in the basin area. The largest of them is the fishpond Pokoj with an area of 26.4 ha (65 acres), built directly on the Černovický potok.
