Abingdon Downs is a rural locality in the Shire of Etheridge, Queensland, Australia.^[2] In the 2021 census, Abingdon Downs had a population of 17 people.^[1]

The Einasleigh River flows through the locality from south-east to west. Its tributary, the Etheridge River, flows through the locality from south to west with their confluence in the west of the locality.^[3]

The locality takes its name from the Abingdon Downs cattle station which, being approximately 445,000 hectares (4,450 km²), occupies much of the locality. Its homestead is located in the west of the locality (17°36′16″S 143°10′51″E / 17.6044°S 143.1807°E / -17.6044; 143.1807 (Abingdon Downs Station)) with the Abingdon Downs Airport immediately to the south.^[3] As at 2016, the station was carrying 16,000 Brahman cattle.^[4]

In the 2016 census, Abingdon Downs had "no people or a very low population".^[5]

In the 2021 census, Abingdon Downs had a population of 17 people.^[1]
