Catalina Duque was born in Miami, Florida on September 20, 1999, to a Colombian parents from Medellín, Antioquia. Her father is the Doctor Carlos Simon Duque Fisher and her mother is Clara Abreu Vélez.[4][5][6] She attended high school at The Columbus School in Envigado, Antioquia,[7][8] and later studied social communication at EAFIT University. In addition to her native language, she is fluent in English and Portuguese.[9][10]

Señorita Antioquia 2023-2024
Catalina's career in beauty pageants began in June 2023, when she was decreed as the new Miss Antioquia for the next edition of Miss Colombia pageant (Concurso Nacional de Belleza), that would be carried out during the month of November of the 2023 but after the pageant was cancelled and postponed a year later, having 1 more year her title as sovereign of Antioquia.[11]
Señorita Colombia 2024
In the competition, she stood out as one of the favorite candidates to obtain the title of Miss Colombia 2024 in its 90 years of history, which Sofía Osío held at that time. Her performance during the course of the contest allowed her to become the winner on the night of November 10, 2024 in the city of Cartagena as is customary in tradition of the beauty pageant.[12]
After 28 years, her victory gave its department the title number 7 in the history of the Miss Colombia pageant, a distinction that the department hadn't obtained since Claudia Elena Vásquez in 1996.
Miss Internacional 2025
Duque will represent her country at Miss International 2025 in Tokyo, Japan.[13]
