Elmar Theveßen
Elmar Theveßen (born 3 June 1967) is a German journalist and author. LifeBorn in Viersen, Theveßen studied history, political science and German studies at the University of Bonn. Also he studied Foreign Policy and journalism at the American University in Washington, D.C.. From 1991 to 1995 Theveßen was a tv-journalist for politics in ZDF-studio Bonn. Until 2001 Theveßen worked as a tv-journalist for ZDF-studio in Washington, D.C. From 2001 to 2002 he worked as a tv-journalist for Frontal21 at ZDF. From 2003 until 2007 Theveßen was a managing editor for ZDF-studio „Aktuelles" in Berlin.[1] and then between 2007 and February 2019 its chief editor. Theveßen is a self-proclaimed expert for terrorism at ZDF, for example in the analysis of the 2016 Chemnitz terrorism plot.[2] Since March 2019 Theveßen has been the director of the ZDF-studio in Washington. D.C.[3] Theveßen is member of the Atlantik-Brücke.
