Iremide Adeoye
Iremide Adeoye, also known as Fantasticks, is a Nigerian actor, media personality, and entertainer. He gained prominence for his roles as Lolu Adeleke in the series Wura and Young Israel in Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti. BackgroundIremide was born in Lagos, Nigeria. He grew up passionate about acting and music, earning the name Fantasticks due to his drumming skills.[1] He graduated with a B.Sc. in Mass Communication at the University of Lagos. CareerIremide debuted as Peter in No.1 in 2021. In 2022, he starred as Teenage Tunde in The Order Of Things and Segun in Tiger's Tail.[2] He starred as Lolu Adeleke in Wura[3] in 2023, gaining praise for his performance. In an interview with Premium Times,[4] Iremide stated that the relatability of his character in the series helped boost his career as an actor. “People have come to resonate more with the character, way more than I expected, and that is the joy for me as an actor when the audience can relate with the surface." In the same year, he played Idowu in the film The Origin: Madam Koi Koi[5] which was released on Netflix. In 2024, Iremide appeared as Dimeji in Her Dark Past.[6] The film also starred Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman and Daniel Etim Effiong. Iremide portrayed Omotunde in Headless which was screened on opening night at the 2024 Africa International Film Festival. Alongside award-winning actresses Kehinde Bankole and Joke Silva, he starred as Young Israel in the Bolanle Austen-Peters-directed biopic Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti.[7] In January 2025, Iremide announced his first major lead role debut as Dami in the comedy TV series Under The Influence.[8] The plot follows Dami a third-class graduate whose viral rant catapults him into Lagos' alluring and deceptive celebrity world. The series was released exclusively on Showmax on January 24. Iremide is known for his eclectic fashion style, which has drawn praise from the media.
