Kawaguchi Station (川口駅, Kawaguchi-eki) is a passenger railway station located in the city of Kawaguchi, Saitama, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East). LinesKawaguchi Station is served by the Keihin-Tōhoku Line, from Ōmiya in Saitama Prefecture to Isogo in Kanagawa Prefecture. It is located 14.5 kilometers from Ōmiya and 15.8 kilometers from Tokyo.

History![]() The station opened on 10 September 1910.[1] Passenger statisticsIn the 2015 data available from Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Kawaguchi → Akabane was one of the train segments among Tokyo's most crowded train lines during rush hour.[2] In fiscal 2019, the station was used by an average of 84,197 passengers daily (boarding passengers only).[3] The daily average passenger figures (boarding passengers only) in previous years are as shown below.
