Kofi Douhadji
Kofi Douhadji, also known by the stage name Oneil Biatti, is an American author, musician and former U.S. Air Force officer. He founded the publishing company Flying Wings and the activewear brand dooko. He is also the author of Unbroken Optimist. Early life and educationDouhadji was born and raised in Afagnan, Togo.[1] His father is a musician.[1] He moved to Aného, Togo to attend high school.[2] After graduating from high school, he moved to the capital, Lomé.[2] While living in Togo, he attended Ismad University, where he earned a two-year engineering degree.[1][2] CareerWhen he lived in Togo, Douhadji was active as a professional musician under the name Oneil Biatti.[2] He founded his first company, a civil engineering company, in 2008.[3] He also worked as a surveyor for several engineering consulting firms.[4] In 2014, he released an album titled Sweet Wood.[5] After immigrating to the United States, Douhadji enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in March 2017.[3][1][2] He was stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base.[1][2][6] He served in the 92nd Logistics Readiness Squadron.[7][8] He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant.[6] Douhadji would go on to found the American sportswear brand dooko.[9][4] He also founded Flying Wings, a publishing company for self-published authors.[10][11] He published his first book, Unbroken Optimist, through Flying Wings in 2021.[3] In 2022, Douhadji served as a speaker for the Washington Policy Center’s Evening in the Desert event, as well as the Washington Policy Center’s Young Professionals Spokane Summer Social.[4][12] Douhadji was invited to speak at the 2023 intake of the Kōkiri Māori Business Accelerator Programme.[13] His second book, Tiny Sparks, was released in 2024.[10] References
