Rachmat Harsono (born 12 March 1980) is an Indonesian businessman who is CEO of Samator Group and President Director of PT Samator Indo Gas Tbk, the largest industrial gas producer in Indonesia. Under his leadership, the company has achieved much progress, especially in responding to medical needs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Harsono is the second generation successor of Samator Group, which was founded by Arief Harsono.[1]
He is known for bringing PT Samator Indo Gas Tbk to increase the production capacity of medical oxygen to meet the needs of hospitals during the pandemic.[2] Moreover, the Samator group also made hydrogen peroxide available to the public, in addition to industrial use.[3] He was included in the list of influential figures by Tatler Asia in 2021.[4]
