Sana Satish
Sana Satish Babu (born 19 August 1972) is an Indian politician and industrialist primarily based in Andhra region. A member of Telugu Desam Party, he has been serving as a member of Rajya Sabha from Andhra Pradesh since 2024. Early life and careerSatish was born in Andhra Pradesh and spent his childhood in Vijayawada. He completed his diploma on Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2001. He worked for almost a decade as an employee at state electricity department after his father died. After quitting the job, he left for Hyderabad and started business.[1][2] Satish has also held important positions in the Andhra Cricket Association, East Godavari District Cricket Association and others. He comes from Kapu community.[3][2] Political careerSatish joined Telegu Desam Party and became a key member of the party’s core team. He was elected as Rajya Sabha member in 2024 bye election seat from Andhra Pradesh.[4] ControversyIn 2019, he was arrested by Enforcement Directorate in connection with the money-laundering case involving meat exporter Moin Qureshi, to judicial custody. Although he was bailed by a Delhi local court, summons was permitted. In 2024, Delhi High Court upheld the lower court's decision to prevent quashing the summonses issued to him by the ED.[5][6] References
